A wonderful Victorian Cast Iron Food Chopper to add to your collection! Note: This item will ship for free with a tracking# for your convenience. It measures 5 1/2" tall x 4" wide across the top of the handle and is in very good condition. 93 NO 40 and is an all cast handle with metal blades, still sharp. The food chopper is marked on one side of the handle N R S& Co Groton NY and on other side is Patd May 2. This was one of the"new fangled" way back then and I am sure that the cooks of the day enjoyed this to no end! Solid piece of workmanship.
WHAT a time our ancestors had trying to cook and prepare food. What a wonderful piece of history this is! Makes you really appreciate those food processors of today's world. The food chopper work great, I believe the chopper could be restored to New operating condition. Great for hanging on the wall in your game room, office, etc. I did not attempt to clean this up, as many of you will want to use it for rustic decorative purposes.
